If only Branson were a little closer...

Do you love Sunday afternoon TV broadcasts of lumberjack competitions as much as I do? Do you also wish someone would cook you a delicious steak to enjoy as you watch all that tree-rific sportsmanship unfold?

Seems someone in Branson, MO (where else?) has answered our prayers! I present to you -- the Tall Timber Lumberjack Show (and dinner theater).

I'm not terribly familiar with the geography of Branson, but I bet this is within driving distance of the Precious Moments Inspiration Park and Yakov Smirnoff Theater. And all just a 2+ hour drive from a personal favorite vacation spot of mine -- Ft. Leonard Wood.

Bruiser, you never cease to amaze me. What channel were you watching these programs on today? Do you wanna go on a vaca to Branson soon? Is everthing in Branson sponsored by Wal-Mart?

And I can only dream of my wedding being held in the Precious Moments "Wedding Island" -- it's like the wholesome version of Vegas!

But really, all roads lead to Ft Leonard Wood...

I believe ABC, thru its affiliation with ESPN, broadcast the lumberjack games last weekend. A sight to behold...

A week shared between Branson and Ft. Leonard Wood would be off da hook. Rent-a-car optional, of course, as I can attest that the taxi fare between St. Louis and FLW is a mere $150. And the FLW Ramada is only a short highway stroll (not much of a sidewalk, but a comfortably large shoulder) to fine dining at the gas station/mini-mart. Try the turkey jerky -- it's to die for!

I've already decided that I'll never get married unless I find me a nice wholesome girl who would appreciate a wedding in a chapel themed on the American bastardization of the Hummel.
